NEWS

A FOND FAREWELL

The Diverse Regeneration Company announce that after 18 years, Liz Abell, the Managing Director is saying goodbye. Under Liz’s excellent management the DR Company has gone from strength to strength, delivering funding programmes that have had a real impact by creating new jobs and opportunities for people in rural areas, and leading a wide range of projects and programmes across the country from the Isles of Scilly to Yorkshire. Liz is leaving for personal reasons, and the team at DR will be very sorry to see her go. Derek Phillips, chair of the Board of Directors commented:

“On behalf of the Board, we thank Liz for her tireless efforts to support rural regeneration. She has always acted professionally and with great understanding and intelligence. She will be sorely missed, as we wish her well on her new adventure.”

Liz will be exploring new challenges within the newly founded Grants Hub of Department of Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), saying “It is with enormous sadness that I am leaving DR, and the fantastic team that I have worked with so closely. It is a wonderful organisation and the team has achieved many great things since 2005, with many more exciting chapters still to come.”

CONTINUED STABILITY

Whilst the DR Company Board of Directors start the search to recruit a new Managing Director, Linda Emmett will step in as Acting Managing Director. Linda is a highly experienced project manager, who has worked with the team at DR as a project consultant for nearly a decade, and is delighted to be helping the Company move seamlessly through its transition stage.
